The Vikings are coming!

2 years ago By Keith Ryde

Norway U18 squad trains at Heathfield.

This weekend sees the arrival of 20 Norwegian U18 7s players to our club. They will be here living rugby for the weekend, and train Friday Evening, Saturday morning, match training with the colts in the afternoon and another full day of training including watching the Colts v Hove at one o clock on Sunday. The coaching will be run by our Colts coaches Darren, Sam and Frazer in addition to the Norwegian coaching staff. This is the first of 3 international camps for the Norwegians preparing them for the U18 7s European Championship, and ultimately the play offs for the 2024 Olympics. We at HWRFC are proud of being able to assist the Norwegian RFU with their preparations, and we are looking forward to further cooperation between us in the future to strengthen the rugby brotherhood between Sussex and Norway. Please feel free to come and watch and help make them all feel like H&W RFC is their second home.
