
Pat Russell, the landlord of the Blackboys Inn (where the club started) had this Blazer, and it is now awarded to individuals with outstanding contributions to HWRFC life.
Gus, the worthy recipient this year has been around all aspects of the club, from playing for the Rangers (Men's 2XV), coaching, cleaning, bar work and general volunteering. He is an outstanding example of what it means to be a Greenie. As such, the committee are delighted to present this award to him today. We could certainly do with 10 more Gus'!
Steve Bird, Senior Men's past Chair thanked Gus profoundly for his commitment to the club and was joined by Robin Gale (President), Mark Greenlees (Club Chair) and Julian Porter (Senior Men's Chair) in the awarding presentation.
