Come and add your input to the proposed improvements Wednesday 23rd November 2016 7:30pm in the clubhouse

If you are interested in our plans for the development of club facilities please come to the AGM and have a say in the future
- Dave Rhodes - Chairman

Come and add your input to the proposed improvements to the training area, changing rooms and club/bar area.

Members input to these projects is vital if we are to succeed in raising the £750,000 needed to complete all 3 projects.

We will go through the club finances and explain how the projects are to be funded with some schemes to raise funds internally.

To raise this sort of money and continue the effort of money raising for the years it will take to repay the loans we will need, the club proposes to employ a fundraising manager. The proposed job specification is as follows:

Club Secretary / Fund Raising Manager

Heathfield and Waldron RFC have decided on a new phase of facilities improvements to include an all weather training surface and extensions to both the changing room and bar areas. It is envisaged that this will cost in excess of £750,000 and so we are seeking to create the role of Club Secretary to assist the main committee in raising these monies and to create a sustainable income to repay any loans we need to take out.

The role will be part-time in the order of 15-20 hours per week and will exist for the next 5 years. The hours and working location are both flexible to fit around the applicant's needs. Salary will be dependent on experience and age . A good knowledge of IT skills, preferably for the Microsoft Office suite including Excel and Access, is essential as maintaining the club database is seen as an important part of this process. Candidates must have good communication skills to assist in attraction of new sponsors into the club and the continuing participation of existing sponsors. The candidate will also run the Heathfield Show parking and stewarding teams, which the club has provided for many years. He will also be expected to take a leading role in the social events of the club.

What this role isn’t, is a general club dogsbody . We want this person to do the things we have always wanted to do but haven’t had the volunteers with the time and resources to complete. We want our club to remain at its core a volunteer organisation .

Applicants should reply with a CV to
