Congratulations go to Lars Thorkildsen (colts) who in the summer made his debut for Norway A in both 15's and 7's and has been selected for the Norway XV squad to play against Bulgaria in the European Nations Cup on 3 October.

Norway's head coach Mark Allen has followed the young man's progress throughout last season and after watching him play in the Norway A vs Bergen RK match was very pleased to bring him on board. He says:
"Lars is a very good rugby player, a thinker, rare in rugby players these days and a quality you have to continue to work hard at, I am very pleased to have him onboard and I'm sure he will settle in straight away."

Meanwhile Nick 'the Honey Badger' Cummins, one of Australia's leading players and who was close to being selected for the world cup squad has sent video greetings to Lars and the Heathfield Colts. The Honey Badger was visiting his brother who is one of Lars's colleagues in the Norway setup - despite sounding distinctly Aussie.
