Heathfield enjoy Hastings hospitaility

What a refreshing change to be in Hastings and be able to see the sea! With the whole squad travelling down to Hastings we enjoyed a great morning of rugby by the sea. With 22 players Heathfield were able to help Hastings make this a 15 side game split into 4 quarters with rotating subs. The first two halves were fairly even with Hastings scoring two tries with some "debut" players called Stan & Hector!
With the wind behind their backs in the second half Heathfield turned pressure into tries. Hector managing to score for both sides. Other tries from Ben W, Oli T and Kieran. Special mention should go to our two "first caps" Ellis and Bradley who slotted into the team seamlessly and made some great contribution. We lost Frankie to a bang on the knee after a fantastic weaving run. The coaching team were impressed with some of the continuity play and how everyone improved over the game. The morning finished with a meal courtesy of Hastings. Many thanks to them for a fun morning.
