This year Heathfield/Uckfield and Burgess Hill Colts have joined forces to create a Tri-Club team (aka TRIDENTS). On Sunday 13th September the three sides came together for their first game, a training game against an established (mostly u17) Crowborough squad. The outcome was irrelevant, considering the lack of joint preparation, what was important was how the three groups would approach the task and gel as a squad.
The coaches were over the moon with what the players produced. Although the score board wasn't troubled, by either side, the standard of play from both teams was excellent. The defences were sound and there was good flare on show in attack.
The most pleasing aspect was the way all the players gelled and played with positivity, well done team.
We now look forward to the first league game on the 27th at Burgess Hill.
