HWRFC U16s squad took on a mixture of U17 & U16 from TJ's. With the best start to a game for many a year Heathfield started brightly and our pre-season fitness training was very evident. Heathfield scored the first points.

Special mention to Jack L for an impressive first home captaincy and Tyrone and John who joined us from Hastings.

From then on the crowd was blessed with some attractive rugby from both sides. Swapping the lead several times as the tries rained in. With two mins to go a converted try saw Heathfield back within a point. Some tense rugby to finish culminated in no more points with the final score being 33-34.

Now confirmed as 2pm kick off. This is an U16 fixture only and not a mixture of 16/17 as previously thought. Being played alongside the colts game at Waldron.It is a squad friendly with lots of opportunity for all to play.
After the game tea will be served at the club house in Cross-in-Hand.
