Today we played a friendly "touch" game vs Crowborough RFC away. This was due to the covid restrictions in place and unsurprisingly, was pretty heated. Because of the "friendly" nature of the game, the scores weren't recorded(although Heathfield won more than we lost, winning 4, drawing one and losing one). There was some questionable refereeing on both sides, so even the scores are in a bit of a grey area. Overall, we played well, especially after coming back from such a long break, our fitness levels definitely showed and our base skills have vastly improved. A special mention goes to Sam, a new member of the squad, showing great promise for the future. Thanks to injured Macs for demonstrating how supportive our squad is and Crowborough for hosting us.
