With a strong start and a bursting run from Cole up the Left wing, Heathfield took the first try through Aidan’s smart finish. The second try came within the first quarter as the team passed it down the line and finished beautifully by Joe.
Overall a dominant start by Heathfield not conceding in the first quarter. With an explosive start to the second quarter, a line break by Noah was stopped just short of the line, finished off later by a great offload from Joe to Cole. Quickly after, a sensational kick-off catch by Archie would begin a whole pitch sprint to score. Next, after a period of missed tackles and Crowborough pressure, Crowborough scored. In response, a dash by Cole would result in a well worked try, setup by Cole and scored by H. In the Third Quarter, a long driving kick allowed Heathfield to advance and put pressure on Crowborough, resulting in a catch and drive over the line for the 6th try of the day for Heathfield. Confidently converted by Ed. In response to another Crowborough try, yet again Cole ran the pitch and was stopped just short, supported by George for an excellent try in the corner by the clubhouse, sealing the match for Heathfield. Yet again Cole outpaced the opposition and setup H for another try. The quarter was ended by a passage of dominance by Crowborough resulting in a try underneath the posts. Into the Last Quarter now, Heathfield scored their tenth try with Cole running a dominant line around the outside. To end the match, after some try saving tackles by Heathfield, particularly by Mo and Ben, Crowborough spilt the ball over the line on the last play. The final score was 59-17. A great end to a very unique season!
